For this two components in the Korg 01/RW have to be cut or desoldered. 1 pcs. Replacement rotary potentiometer plastic axis suitable forQuasimidiElectrical properties:The nominal resistance has 10 Kilo-Ohm, the electric resistance gradient is linear. The potentiometer is construed for a power of 0,05 Watt.Appearance (technical characterisation):The casing measures 12 mm, the total length without pins is 25 mm. In this total length the casing is 9 mm long. The axis has a diameter of 6 mm and is Knurled on a length of 7 mm. It is made of Plastik. Its head has ends in corner radius.The three solder pins are 0,6 mm wide (one of them) and they are arranged in one row in a distance of 2,5 mm (pitch).At the end of the casing the metallic snap in connector is mounted. These connector will fix the potentiometer at the printed circuit board by pressing in.Between the two snap in holdings the distance is 12,2 mm. The holders latch in the board and fix the potentiometer mechanically.Useful hint:The Potentiometer is soldered on the circuit board. You should have mechanical skills and experience in soldering to replace it.

After this specified drive time, the display still has 50% of its original luminosity.

These displays are durable and robust. Notes on installation the Display in Yamaha RM1x :To replace the display, the Yamaha RM1x is opened from the back. So the rear half of the case has to be removed. Afterwards the floppy drive, the DM board and a sheet metal frame must be unscrewed. Everything is scraped and only a Phillips screwdriver, preferably PH2 is needed. Now the old display can be removed. Before installing the new display, three plastic lugs must be removed in the display frame. These can be broken off with pliers, or cut off with a knife. Please do not forget to clean the washer in the housing.No soldering required.All you need is a screwdriver, flat nose pliers and side cutters. Note on contrast adjustment:It may be necessary to replace 2 SMD capacitors on the main board. Due to the ageing of the capacitors, the setting range for the contrast has shifted.
