Under the brand name Technics the electric piano PR-900 was manufactured and put on the market in the period from 1996 to 1998. The Technics PR900 Epiano is a piano with a very extensive range of functions. The selling price was in 1996 around 3.500, - Euro.
Main Differrence between PR700 and PR900
The main difference between the two models is that the PR900 also has an electronic DRAWBAR.
Sound Group
In the Sound Goup, you select the sound you want to play with. The main grand and piano sounds can be selected directly via control buttons. The other sounds like Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer or organ can be selected via the large LCD display. Also on classical instruments this epiano offers a lot of sound variety. Whether it's a harp, oboe, flute or a brass instrument, you can choose from the menu.
Rhythm Group
The Auto Accompaniment provides you with a variety of preset rhythm functions such as Rock, Beat or Latin. The Technics PR-700 features many standard rhythms such as march and waltz, blues, soul and disco. Even on something unusual rhythms such as fusion, big band, swing or country, this electric piano has a lot to offer.
All this can be selected directly on the control panel on the control panel or alternatively, the electric piano offers a large LCD display to navigate clearly through the various functions.
One touch play
The One Touch Play feature makes it easy for the piano player to control the extensive auto accompaniment features.
To round off the range of functions, the PR900 also has a sequencer and a composer. Thus, the electric piano is also suitable as a music workstation for composing.
The standard in the 1990's was the MIDI interface and the possibility to save data and compositions on a 3.5 inch floppy disk drive.
