The potentiometer is construed for a power of 0,05 Watt.Appearance (technical characterisation):The casing measures 12 mm, the total length without pins is 25 mm. In this total length the casing is 9 mm long. The axis has a diameter of 6 mm and is Knurled on a length of 7 mm. It is made of Plastik. Its head has ends in corner radius.The three solder pins are 0,6 mm wide (one of them) and they are arranged in one row in a distance of 2,5 mm (pitch).At the end of the casing the metallic snap in connector is mounted. These connector will fix the potentiometer at the printed circuit board by pressing in.Between the two snap in holdings the distance is 12,2 mm. The holders latch in the board and fix the potentiometer mechanically.Useful hint:The Potentiometer is soldered on the circuit board. You should have mechanical skills and experience in soldering to replace it.

Furthermore, it is also very easy to read in sunlight.Mechanical hints for the replacement of the OLED display in the Yamaha DX7II:Please consider in this case that the mechanical effort to get to the display in the instrument is quite high. Among other things, the keyboard and the mainboard must be disassembled. Everything is screwed. No soldering necessary.The display has a cover made of Plexiglass which is glued on the display and has to be transferred to the new display. We have had good experience with the following method: Insert fishing line or sturdy sewing yarn between the display and the cover and use a sawing motion to separate the adhesive.Lifetime of OLED Display:The lifetime is specified by the manufacturer with 50,000 operating hours. After this specified drive time, the display still has 50% of its original luminosity.
