Volume Slidepotentiometer Casio 30mm Travel
1 pcs.  slide Potentiometer forCasio CZ-1              VolumeCasio CZ-1000       VolumeCasio CZ-3000       VolumeCasio CZ-5000       VolumeThe Lever on original Potentiometer is shorter. You can cut this Lever to the right length.Electrical properties:The stereo nominal resistance has 10 kOhm, the electric resistance gradient is linear. The potentiometer is construed for a power of 0,06 Watt.Appearance (technical characterisation):This slide potentiometer has been built in in the past in many instruments and audio equipements. The particular embodiment of this potentiometer is the arrangement of the solder contact pins, which today are no longer usual. In total eight solder contact pins are laterally ordered to a group of four pins at the top and the end of the slide potentiometer. On both sides the solder pins are staggered in reverse order. Because of this arrangement the volume control fits only in a specific mounting position. The slide potentiometer has a travel of 30 mm. Its metallic casing measures 45 x 8 mm, the height without lever is 7 mm. The lever is made of black plastic and ends in corner radius. Its height is 15 mm, the breadth is 5 mm and its depth is 2 mm. The eight solder contact pins are 0,8 mm wide (one of them) and they are arranged in a distance of 3 mm. The bented pins are necessary for the electrical function. In medium range of the casing the metallic edge-socket connector is mounted. By these connectors the slide potentiometer will be fixed mechanically.Useful hint:The volume control is soldered on the circuit board. You should have mechanical skills and experience in soldering to replace it.

Casio synthesiser

The company Casio is mainly known for its products in the field of pocket calculators and wrist watches. As a manufacturer of keyboard instruments, synthesizers, or electric pianos, Casio is not so familiar to many people, or almost unknown.
Casio started building keyboards and synthesizers in the 1980s. The competition from Yamaha and Roland, the two market heavyweights, was of course overwhelming. However, the Casio synthesizers of the early years stood out because of their sound generation, which was different from other manufacturers at the time, because Casio brought the first completely digital synthesizer onto the market with the CZ-101. Even today, Casio synthesizers have their enthusiasts, but the trade in the instruments is small. Anyone who owns a Casio synthesiser will rarely have a reason to give it away or sell it.

Service and spare parts

Support for the keyboard instruments of the early years has long since been discontinued by Casio. Accordingly, it is difficult to obtain spare parts. We have therefore included Casio synthesizers in our range, and as far as possible, we offer suitable spare parts for Casio synthesizers in our online shop. Where possible, our spare parts are OEM spare parts. This means that we obtain the spare parts from the exact same supplier from whom Casio obtained its components or assemblies at the time. However, this is usually only possible if these components are still being produced today. If the production of certain components or assemblies has been discontinued, we can very often offer an equivalent or even better replacement.
However, there are also spare parts for which it does not make sense to offer the components from back then. For example, in the case of obsolete LCD displays, it makes much more sense to fall back on current Display-technology. Of course, we have checked such spare parts for full compatibility and ensured through thorough testing in our own specialist workshop that the new display assemblies are really suitable as replacements. The suitability for use depends on many different factors, which must not cause any malfunctions in interaction with the other components.
In each case, we have carried out a test installation on a suitable instrument to ensure the proper functioning of a new component, or an entire assembly.

Repairs

The test installation is a normal procedure in our specialist workshop, which we carry out on every new component, and on every new assembly that we offer as a spare part. This is the only way we can guarantee the high quality standard of our offered spare parts. You are welcome to deliver your equipment directly for repair, or send it in with a transport service provider of your choice. Our qualified workshop staff will take care of your instrument and restore it to the state of the art. After consultation with you, an LCD display or a new OLED display will be installed. We are also happy to take over the calibration of older instruments after the installation of the spare parts. Please make an appointment with our specialist workshop.
In certain cases, a repair can also be carried out on your premises. However, this service is limited to customers within North Rhine-Westphalia.
