The connectors of J.S.T. MSG. Co. ltd. are very common especially in the musical instruments world. Actually, we can already speak of an industry standard. In musical instruments such as electric pianos, synthesizers, keyboards or organs, JST connectors are usually installed. The plugs and jacks used by JST in musical instruments are usually plugs and sockets in Crimp technology. For the private individual who has a defective connector, it is already problematic since usually the appropriate crimping tool is missing. And there exist a very wide range of different crimp tools.The problem here is that there is a confusing variety of crimping tools. Only the right crimp tool will give you a good result with a stable cable crimp connection.

JST FJ series.

We offer JST plugs and sockets specifically for music instruments. The plug series JST FJ has largely disappeared from the market today. For e-pianos and keyboards from Technics, however, the FJ series from JST is particularly relevant. The plugs and sockets of the FJ series by J.S.T. belong to the category Board to Board plug-in connections. Pitch of the FJ series is 2 mm.

There are three different types of this FJ connector series. Once the FJ-V, the FJ-K and the FJ-L types. The short version of these board to board connections is the connector FJ-V with a distance from plug to socket = 18 mm. Then comes the version FJ-L with a board distance of 20mm. This is followed by the long version FJ-K with a board to board distance of 30 mm.
The counterpart to the plug, the socket is called FJ without additional addition and fits all three types FJ-L, FJ-K and FJ-V.
