Yamaha TG55 rack synthesizer

Yamaha introduced the TG55 as a rack version of the digital synthesizer Yamaha SY55. The Yamaha TG-55 comes as a rack synthesizer without any buttons and is purely controlled via MIDI. Launch of the TG55 was in 1990.

Safety Notice for the Yamaha TG-55 Synthesizer


We noticed that there are no fuses in the power supply of the TG-55 synthesizer. Whether it is a short-circuit proof transformer is not determined because no information is printed on the transformer. In the event that it comes to a short circuit in the device is to assume that the transformer can be burned through. The Transformer has a very special flat construction and can not be procured again. Retrofitting fuses here is a good investment in the future.

Another advantage is the whistling that occurs with many synthesizers disappears.
