Integrated circuits
IC - Integrated Circuits as Spare Parts for Musical Instruments
In the field of musical instruments, there is often the problem that spare parts are no longer available. Support from manufacturers such as Roland, Korg, or Yamaha has long been discontinued. Especially from these manufacturers there are many analogue synthesizers from the 1980s or the 1970s, in which many special ICs were built in, which are no longer available today. Many of these ICs have not been produced for many years, they were discontinued by the suppliers years ago due to changed requirements and thus the decreasing demand, i.e. the suppliers announced that this or that component would no longer be produced in the future.
Obsolete ICs and transistors
In many cases, however, we are able to procure electronic components that have long been taken out of production.
Another possibility is to look for a suitable replacement type and use it instead of the original component. Although this often involves partial modification of the installation situation, it can save the cherished electronic musical instrument from an inglorious end in electronic scrap. However, for many components and integrated circuits that have long had "end of life" status, there are still stocks available worldwide. We have set ourselves the task of finding such stocks and making them available to the market.
Over the past years, we have built up good relationships with reliable suppliers worldwide. Through them, we obtain many ICs that have not been produced for a long time. We offer the chips you need for your repairs. Since we repair musical instruments such as electric pianos, synthesizers, workstations and keyboards in our specialist workshop, we know which ICs often break and are therefore needed.
