The AS3109 is pin-compatible with the Roland IR3109. Mechanical Description of AS3109:This AS3109 is housed in a DIP 16 package and is designed for classic through hole mounting on a circuit board. Use of a socket is possible. The IC has 2 x 8 connecting pins with grid of 2.54 mm x 7.62 mm.Technical description of the AS3109:Voltage-controlled four-pole filter. The four independent sections can be connected together to enable a variety of filter responses, including common filters such as low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and all-pass. A single input exponentially controls the frequency over greater than a 15 octave range with little control voltage feedthrough.
