Even if Technics has produced in very good quality, some components can break. Partly this is simply due to the aging of the components. We offer here a brand new OLED display as a replacement for the originaly used LCD display.  Hints for mounting:To install this new OLED Display, the mechanical installation has to be done a different than the original display. For this two components in the Korg 01/RW have to be cut or desoldered. No soldering is required.Mechanical modification is required.The original LCD display in the Korg X5D is screwed onto fixed mounting bolts, whereby the distance to the front panel is fixed. Since the OLED display is much flatter than the original LCD display, there is a tunnel effect with the OLED. It is possible to shorten the mounting bolts in the Korg X5D. These plastic bolts must be shortened. The height of the OLED display is much lower than the height of the original LCD display. Without adjustment of the plastic bolts, a tunnel effect occurs because the new OLED display is much too deep in the housing.The screws from the original display can be reused.No soldering is required. Everything is scraped and only a Phillips screwdriver, preferably PH2 is needed. Now the old display can be removed.
