1 piece Yamaha DX5 OS Version 6.0 EPROMwe offer here last known OS version for the Yamaha DX5Mounting instructions for the EPROM in the Yamaha DX5:The EPROMs in the Yamaha DX5 are socketed and can be carefully prised out of their sockets.Older OS versions consist of two EPROMs, each with 128K. The EPROM for the latest OS version 6.0 consists of just one EPROM with 256K. The EPROM for OS version 6.0 is inserted into the socket for IC12.Depending on the serial number of the Yamaha DX5, two jumper wires may need to be re-soldered.Practical notes:IC's/Eproms are sensitive to static charge!Recycling of E-Proms:The best recycling is always the reuse in the original form. We will be happy if you send us back your old eprom. We will then reuse it with the updated OS version.
