The first impression is usually that the display is defective.How can I check whether the display is completely defective or whether only the backlight has failed?If only the backlight has failed, it is usually possible to see the text if you look very closely, usually from a very steep angle. Users usually know what is normally displayed on the screen. It is also possible to shine a flashlight on the display. Then the text is usually still quite easy to see. We offer a replacement kit for the backlighting in the Korg Oasys LCD.With this kit, you can replace the CCFL tubes with modern LED strips. Replacement stereo rotary potentiometer 14mm widht suitable forKorg KronosElectrical properties:The stereo nominal resistance has 10 Kilo-Ohm, the electric resistance gradient is logarithmic. The potentiometer is construed for a power of 0,05 Watt.Appearance (technical characterisation):The casing measures 14 mm widht, the total length without pins is 25 mm. In this total length the casing is 7,5 mm long. On this casing is the thread with 5 mm length connected and out of the thread the axis rises with 12,5 mm length. The axis has a diameter of 6 mm and is flattened on a length of 7 mm. It is made of black plastic. Its head has a slot and ends in corner radius. The thread, which surrounds the axis, has the screw measure M9 x 0,75 mm.The seven solder pins are 0,6 mm wide (one of them) and they are arranged in a distance of 2 mm (pitch). The curved pins, which are sticking out to the front, are necessary for the electrical function.In medium range of the casing the metallic snap in connector is mounted. These connector will fix the potentiometer at the printed circuit board by pressing in.Between the two snap in holdings the distance is 15,3 mm. The holders latch in the board and fix the potentiometer mechanically.Useful hint:The volume control is soldered on the circuit board. You should have mechanical skills and experience in soldering to replace it.

Replacement keys, weighted for Fatar TP/8+ KeyboardFatar TP/8+ keyboard is a touch sensitive keyboard with weighted keys.Keys are mounted on a support frame with core of steel sheet. At these core all attachments were made of plastic in an injected machine.contact detection is done via 12 pin contact rubber strip with two graphite points. The weighted keys have a length of 19,5 cm and a width of 2.24 cm. The thickness of the keys is 1,2 cm. Key guidance and upper stop point are implemented in this keyboard through an eye at the key bottom. The contactor, which presses the contact rubber strip is  worked out by an increase of 10,5 mm. The distance from the front side of the key is 13 cm. At the end of the key is a semi-circular passage aperture into which a spring is hooked. The keys are in color cream white.

For this display replacement, we strongly recommend shortening the mounting bolts in the housing of the Korg M1. The OLED display itself is supplied pre-wired. The synthesiser is opened from the back and almost all components have to be removed to access the display, unfortunately the keyboard also has to be removed.The display assembly: The display in the Korg M1 is mounted on plastic bolts that are firmly connected to the display frame of the synthesiser, but these plastic bolts are much too high for the new OLED display at 10 mm. It is best to shorten these bolts to 5 mm so that the new OLED display comes very close to the windscreen. These plastic bolts can be easily sawn off with a small modelling handsaw. In our picture it is a saw from Tamiya.The big advantage is that a shim can be placed underneath as a height stop.
