AS3109 benefits from high input impedance buffers.Pin-compatible replacement for the IR3109 but different housing.Technically, the IC may differ slightly from the original. When replacing a Roland IR3109, the entire instrument must be recalibrated. The IR3109 was installed by Roland in the Jupiter series, the Juno series, the SH-101 and others, among others.Practical tips:These part is firmly soldered to a circuit board. For replacing craftsmanship and experience in soldering is required. Please be carefull because of static charingÂ
1 pcs. Alfa Rpar AS3360A VCA IC DIP14 replacement for Curtis CEM3360The IC Alfa Rpar AS3360A is a voltage-controlled amplifier module that was used in analogue synthesizers in the 1980s. The AS3360A is pin-compatible with the Curtis CEM3360 Mechanical Description of AS3360A :This AS3360A is housed in a DIP 14 package and is designed for classic through hole mounting on a circuit board. Use of a socket is possible. The IC has 2 x 7 connecting pins with grid of 2.54 mm x 7.62 mm. Difference between Standard and Advanced chip typ:AS3360A benefits from internal bandgap reference which improves stability of reference voltage and output current of VCA and improved level of attenuation of output current at zero control voltage. Technical description of the AS3360A:The AS3320 is a high performance voltage controlled four-pole filter with on-chip voltage controllable resonance IC. The four independent sections may be interconnected to provide a wide variety of filter responses, such as low pass, high pass, band pass and all pass. A single input exponentially controls the frequency over greater than a ten octave range with little control voltage feedthrough. Another input controls the resonance in a modified linear manner from zero to low distortion oscillation. For those demanding applications, provision has been made to allow trimming for improved control voltage rejection. Each filter section features a variable gain cell which is fully temperature compensated, exhibits a better signal-to-noise ratio and generates its low distortion predominantly in the second harmonic. The device includes a minus two volt regulator to ensure low power dissipation and consequent low warm-up drift.Technically, the IC may differ slightly from the original. When replacing a Curtis CEM3360, the entire instrument must be recalibrated. The CEM3360 was used in Oberheim and Sequential Circuits Synthesizern..Practical tips:These part is firmly soldered to a circuit board. For replacing craftsmanship and experience in soldering is required. Please be carefull because of static charingÂ
1 pcs. Alfa Rpar AS3340A VCO IC DIP16 replaecemt for Curtis CEM3340The IC Alfa Rpar AS3340A is a voltage-controlled oszillator module that was used in analogue synthesizers in the 1980s. Mechanical Description of AS3340A:This AS3340A is housed in a DIP 16 package and is designed for classic through hole mounting on a circuit board. Use of a socket is possible. The IC has 2 x 8 connecting pins with grid of 2.54 mm x 7.62 mm. Benefits of advanced chip typ:AS3340A are improved versions of AS3340. AS3340A and have much more output frequency stability against Vcc and VEE . Frequency stability can be improved If external reference voltage (with level approximately 1/3 Vcc) is connected to pin 9 (Soft Sync. Input). AS3340A benefits from improved symmetry of rising and falling edge of triangle signal (approx.. 50%).AS3345 benefits from additional Meander Output. Meander edge starts when Triangle changes it’s direction. These feature gives additional opportunities for design.Technical description of the AS3340A:The AS 3340 is a completely self contained, precision voltage controlled oscillator, featuring both exponential and linear control scales and up to four buffered output waveforms: triangle, sawtooth, square, and pulse with voltage controllable pulse width. Full temperature compensation makes these VCOs extremely stable, and eliminates the need for a temperature compensation resistor. The highly accurate exponential and linear control inputs are virtual ground summing nodes, allowing multiple control voltages to be mixed within the device itself.Practical tips:These part is firmly soldered to a circuit board. For replacing craftsmanship and experience in soldering is required. Please be carefull because of static charingÂ

1 piece Yamaha DX5 OS Version 6.0 EPROMwe offer here last known OS version for the Yamaha DX5Mounting instructions for the EPROM in the Yamaha DX5:The EPROMs in the Yamaha DX5 are socketed and can be carefully prised out of their sockets.Older OS versions consist of two EPROMs, each with 128K. The EPROM for the latest OS version 6.0 consists of just one EPROM with 256K. The EPROM for OS version 6.0 is inserted into the socket for IC12.Depending on the serial number of the Yamaha DX5, two jumper wires may need to be re-soldered.Practical notes:IC's/Eproms are sensitive to static charge!Recycling of E-Proms:The best recycling is always the reuse in the original form. We will be happy if you send us back your old eprom. We will then reuse it with the updated OS version.Â
IC - Integrated Circuits as Spare Parts for Musical Instruments
In the field of musical instruments, there is often the problem that spare parts are no longer available. Support from manufacturers such as Roland, Korg, or Yamaha has long been discontinued. Especially from these manufacturers there are many analogue synthesizers from the 1980s or the 1970s, in which many special ICs were built in, which are no longer available today. Many of these ICs have not been produced for many years, they were discontinued by the suppliers years ago due to changed requirements and thus the decreasing demand, i.e. the suppliers announced that this or that component would no longer be produced in the future.
Obsolete ICs and transistors
In many cases, however, we are able to procure electronic components that have long been taken out of production.
Another possibility is to look for a suitable replacement type and use it instead of the original component. Although this often involves partial modification of the installation situation, it can save the cherished electronic musical instrument from an inglorious end in electronic scrap. However, for many components and integrated circuits that have long had "end of life" status, there are still stocks available worldwide. We have set ourselves the task of finding such stocks and making them available to the market.
Over the past years, we have built up good relationships with reliable suppliers worldwide. Through them, we obtain many ICs that have not been produced for a long time. We offer the chips you need for your repairs. Since we repair musical instruments such as electric pianos, synthesizers, workstations and keyboards in our specialist workshop, we know which ICs often break and are therefore needed.
