The original displays have a small fluorescent tube, a so-called CCFL backlight, as backlight. It is possible that only the backlight is defective or the whole display is defective. This can be that only single pixels in the display are missing or whole lines in the LCD no longer work. In extreme cases, entire areas of the screen can also fail. If only the CCFL backlight is defective you can use a new fluorescent tube. The whole thing requires very calm hands and patience because these backlight tubes have a diameter of only 2 mm. Therefore they are very sensitive and delicate. Here it is also necessary to solder. As an alternative we offer a replacement LCD equipped with modern LED backlight.
