Mechanical Description of AS3109DÂ :
This AS3109D is housed in a SOIC 16 package and is designed for surface mounting on a circuit board.
The IC has 2 x 8 connecting pins with grid of 1.27 mm x 4.00 mm.
Technical description of the AS3109D:
Voltage-controlled four-pole filter. The four independent sections can be connected together to enable a variety of filter responses, including common filters such as low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and all-pass. A single input exponentially controls the frequency over greater than a 15 octave range with little control voltage feedthrough. AS3109 benefits from high input impedance buffers.
Pin-compatible replacement for the IR3109 but different housing.
Technically, the IC may differ slightly from the original. When replacing a Roland IR3109, the entire instrument must be recalibrated.
The IR3109 was installed by Roland in the Jupiter series, the Juno series, the SH-101 and others, among others.
Practical tips:
These part is firmly soldered to a circuit board. For replacing craftsmanship and experience in soldering is required.
