Piano felt, an old and proven product from piano making. This piano felt is used by every piano maker exactly where mechanical resilience is required. Where a lever movement is converted into a rotary movement and mechanical parts should slide over each other as silently as possible.
In the Kawai digital pianos in which wooden keys are used is exactly such a mechanical load given from Kawai with a so-called Sliptape is padded. This piano felt here is best suited to replace the Kawai sliptape.
Compared to the original Kawai Sliptape, the key pressure on this felt is very slightly more sluggish. However, this should improve with use as the felt becomes smoother with use.

Good material.
Bought it to fix my Kawai CA67 who had the infamous sticky keys issue.
It was easy job, but quite long (I replaced the pads on the whole keyboard).
The thickness is perfect.
3 months so far and the piano still works like a charm.
PS : Ludo big noob! L2P!

Absolut empfehlenswert
Mein CA 98 ist über die Zeit hinweg immer schwergängiger geworden. Irgendwie hat mich keiner, auch der Kawai Techniker nicht ernst nehmen.
Nachdem ich das original Sliptape durch diesen Filz ersetzt habe, ist die Mechanik deutlich agiler im Anschlag geworden.
Ich hatte erst etwas bedenken, diese Reparatur selbst zu machen, muss aber sagen, daß es für jemanden, der keine 2 linken Hände hat, absolut machbar ist.
Ein Tipp: Die Tasten sind mit kleinen Paperscheiben in der Höhe reguliert. Darau achten, dass diese Scheiben nicht verloren gehen. Deshalb jede Taste einzeln rausnehmen und auf an der Taste kleben Scheiben untersuchen.
