Mechanical Description of Encoder Board:

we deliver a brand new Encoder and a PCB ready mounted, herer you can just plug in the original cable. The cable is just pluged in and has to be taken over from original Encoder Board.

This new Encoder has housing from Metall and a plastik axis.

Practical advice for Mounting JD800 Encoder PCB:

The circuit board must be machined:

The new encoder has a larger thread than the original encoder in the JD-800. Furthermore, there is a pin on the encoder to prevent mechanical rotation of the component. The mounting hole for this pin must be re-drilled. The exact drilling plan can be seen in the pictures.

The enlargement from 7 mm to 9 mm can be done by hand with a standard metal drill. This is gentler than working with a machine.
