The Waldorf Microwave II has one of these encoder with detents. These encoder is mounted beside the display.

Practical advice:

The axis of this encoder is 2 mm longer than the axis of the original encoder of the Waldorf Microwave 2. Under circumstances the axis must be shortened. Since the axis of the encoder is made of plastic, shortening is quite easy.

These encoder is firmly soldered to a circuit board. For replacing craftsmanship and experience in soldering is required.
