The SP5823 is a drop-in replacement for the obsolete MM5823N Divider IC used in many Moogs and other vintage synthesizers & organs.  If multiple keys of the same note are dead it’s likely due to a defect divider IC chip. This is a drop in replacement.

Technical Description of MM5823:
These frequency dividers provide six stages of binary division to produce six octave-related outputs of an electronic musical instrument tone generator. Each divider stage consists of an asynchronous, dc-coupled flip-flop .
The IC is housed in a DIP 14 package and is designed for trughhole mounting on a circuit board.
Practical information to SP5823:
The IC is permanently soldered onto a circuit board. Replacement requires manual dexterity and soldering experience.
