The original LCD display in the Korg X5D is screwed onto fixed mounting bolts, whereby the distance to the front panel is fixed. Since the OLED display is much flatter than the original LCD display, there is a tunnel effect with the OLED. It is possible to shorten the mounting bolts in the Korg X5D. This work requires skill and good fine motor skills.
For the actual assembly of the new OLED display in the Korg X5D only a screwdriver is required.
