1 pcs. Replacement rotary potentiometer suitable for
- Alesis Andromeda A6 - Post Filter
We have set out on a search!
Alesis used potentiometers manufactured by Panasonic in the Andromeda A6. Unfortunately, Panasonic has stopped the production of this potentiometer series. In addition, there is the fact that the potentiometers from Panasonic have a few special features so that most commercially available potentiometers can not be used.
After a lengthy research, which unfortunately did not lead to a positive result, we decided to build a potentiometer especially for the Alesis Andromeda A6.
Shaft and guide are made of metal: We deliberately chose a potentiometer with a metal shaft and guide. We are convinced that this leads to a much longer life span than the original Panasonic potentiometers where shaft and guide are made of plastic.
The stereo nominal resistance has 5 Kilo-Ohm, the electric resistance gradient is linear. The potentiometer is construed for a power of 0,05 Watt.
Appearance (technical characterisation):
The casing measures 9 mm, the total length without pins is 25 mm. In this total length the casing is 7,5 mm long. On this casing is the thread with 5 mm length connected and out of the thread the axis rises with 17,5 mm length. The axis has a diameter of 6 mm and is flattened on a length of 12 mm. It is made of Metall. Its head has ends in corner radius. The thread, which surrounds the axis, has the screw measure M7 x 0,75 mm.
The three solder pins are 0,6 mm wide (one of them) and they are arranged in one row in a distance of 2,5 mm (pitch).
At the end of the casing the metallic snap in connector is mounted. These connector will fix the potentiometer at the printed circuit board by pressing in.Between the two snap in holdings the distance is 10,5 mm. The holders latch in the board and fix the potentiometer mechanically.
The Potentiometer is soldered on the circuit board. You should have mechanical skills and experience in soldering to replace it.
