In electric piano or digital piano from Technics it is standard that there is a retractable keyboard cover. The keyboard cover is lifted slightly and then it rolls easily into the interior of the piano and unlocks the keyboard.

The keyboard cover is a cover which is made of the same material as the body of the piano. In general, a particle board or MDF. At the front an aluminum rail or a boardwalk is optionally attached. Thereby the lid is closed on the body of the piano. At the back one continuous aluminum rod is mounted. At each end of this rod a plastic gear is fixed. These gears are moving on gear racks which are fixed in the interior of the piano on the body.
