Kawai CA95 can not be switched off

With the digital piano Kawai CA95 it can come to the error that the instrument can no longer be switched off.

It is strongly recommended that this fault be repaired. If this defect is not repaired, the error will increase and eventually lead to the total failure of the electric piano.

Safety note:

With this error, you are working on assemblies that are in direct contact with 230V AC mains voltage. This work is only for electrical engineering specialists. There is a danger to life if work is carried out improperly.

If the Kawai CA95 digital piano can no longer be switched off there is usually a defect in the KEP389 inlet board. This defect is noticed by users by the fact that the electric piano cannot be switched off any more.
Technically, the transformer in the instrument is only supplied with only one half-wave of the alternating voltage, which leads to overheating of the transformer and destroying the instrument's transformer in the long term.

To avoid major damage, it is strongly recommended to have the inlet board repaired.
